Who is this course for

This course is ideal for beginners.

You may have already completed an IT course before, or have some experience using a computer already, from either the workplace or personal use.

What are the entry requirements

You will need basic English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

While a familiarity with Microsoft Office would be an advantage, there is no prior knowledge required.

What will I be learning

Microsoft Excel is an invaluable tool in the workplace and a useful personal skill.

By the end of the course, you will gain core skills including
Creating, opening and saving a workbook
Entering data and applying formatting to change the appearance of a spreadsheet.
Using basic formatting and data tools.
Understanding and applying basic formulas.

How will I be assessed and supported

This course has no formal assessment, and your progress is monitored by the course tutor who will be available to support you throughout.

You will be given the opportunity to practise a number of computer related tasks to demonstrate how you are progressing on your course.
