Who is this course for

These self directed online courses are ideal if you are short on time and want to fit learning and upskilling around work, home, or life. They are perfect if you cannot commit to a formal course, as you start them at any time roll on/roll off and usually take around 2 hours to complete. You can also complete these anywhere, as long as you have a device such as a laptop and internet connection
These courses are ideal if you are already using Excel and PowerPoint and want to improve your skills and be more efficient when using these apps.
A range of bite sized online modules are available, enabling you to quickly and effectively boost your skills in the following areas
PowerPoint: Presenting information
Word and Excel: Creating a Macro
Excel Creating Pivot tables
Excel Goal Seek function
Excel Lookup functions
Each unit will have a short assessment to check your knowledge.

What are the entry requirements

You should have experience of using Microsoft PowerPoint or Excel apps or already have a Level 2 digital or IT qualification.

How will I be assessed and supported

These short online courses are accessed via our on our Derby Learn platform which is a Virtual Learning Environment. The course will automatically provide feedback to you throughout the module and you can access support from a tutor via email, if required.
You will be required to complete the pre and post surveys so we can record your achievements.

What do I need to bring?

You will just need to be able to access the internet from a device. A PC/laptop is desirable as these modules will be demonstrating PowerPoint, Word and Excel features so you can practice alongside this using your own apps.
