Who is this course for

Gain new and improve existing skills using Microsoft Excel! This hands on course is ideal for beginners who want to improve essential digital skills that employers value in the workplace.  You will also develop your confidence in a professional environment, enabling you to excel in Excel.

What are the entry requirements

This course is online via Microsoft Teams, so you will need an internet connection and install Microsoft Teams.
There are no formal entry requirements, however, some basic experience in Excel would be helpful.

What will I be learning

You will learn key skills that employers value in the workplace including: How to create and format spreadsheets Enter and organise data Use basic formulas and functions Sort and filter information Create charts and present data clearly You'll also discover time-saving features that can help you work more efficiently. Throughout the course, you'll complete realistic workplace activities such as managing budgets, tracking stock, creating timesheets, and analysing simple business data. By the end of the course, you will be able to Navigate Excel confidently. Create and edit professional spreadsheets. Use formulas and functions to perform calculations. Sort, filter and organise data effectively. Create charts and tables to present information. Apply Excel skills to everyday workplace tasks. Improve your digital skills and increase your employability.

How will I be assessed and supported

There is no formal assessment. You will receive continuous support from the tutor and demonstrate your progress through guided tasks.

What do I need to bring?

You can work from your office or at home.
You will need internet connection and Microsoft Teams.
A notepad and pen would be useful.
