Who is this course for

For anyone who would like to have a gentle approach to writing in a relaxed and creative manner.

What are the entry requirements

Foundation English.

You need to have access to a device which connects to the Internet, in order to access the sessions via MS Teams.
If you will be using a smartphone or a table, you will need to download the MS Teams App.
If you will be using a laptop, you will be able to access the sessions via a Link which will be provided by your tutor.

You are required to attend regularly each week to successfully complete this course.

What will I be learning

You will explore the art of writing using different prompts every week, you will learn from your peers in a friendly and constructive atmosphere.

How will I be assessed and supported

You will have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) where we will support you to set your own learning goals at the start of your course.  You will be regularly assessed and reviewed along your learning journey by your tutor, along with self-assessment, to help you achieve these goals.

What do I need to bring?

You will be able to choose where you want to write. You could use a laptop or an iPad or write in a journal. It is essential that you choose where to collect your writings, in a place that is conformable to you.

There are no additional fees.

What can this course lead to

You could combine this class with any of our creative classes. Creative classes available at DALS: Drawing for beginners, Watercolour painting, Drawing and Watercolour paining online,  to learn how to illustrate your writings.
We also offer: NCFE Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates in Art & Design
