Who is this course for

For those who are interested in learning how to paint in watercolours and grasp the basics of drawing.

What are the entry requirements

There are no specific art skills requirements.

You need to have access to a device which connects to the Internet, in order to access the sessions via MS Teams.
If you will be using a smartphone or a table, you will need to download the MS Teams App.
If you will be using a laptop, you will be able to access the sessions via a Link which will be provided by your tutor.

You are required to attend regularly each week to successfully complete this course.

What will I be learning

You will experiment with basic drawing and watercolours techniques.

How will I be assessed and supported

You will have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) where we will support you to set your own learning goals at the start of your course.  You will be regularly assessed and reviewed along your learning journey by your tutor, along with self-assessment, to help you achieve these goals.

What do I need to bring?

You will need
A sketchpad
A basic selection of drawing pencils HB, 2B 4B, 6B
Eraser
Watercolour paper Cold Press
2 round and pointy watercolour brushes 4 and 8
A basic set of half pans watercolours
A jar for your water
Kitchen paper or an old kitchen towel

£80 tuition fee.

What can this course lead to

NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Art and Design.
