Who is this course for
The course is perfect for beginners if you want to study anywhere, anytime. As this is course leads to a level 2 qualification, it requires your commitment of a few hours per week learning and completing the assessment questions. Depending on the amount of units/assessment questions, it should take on average 3 to 4 months to complete. However, it may take less time, depending on how quickly you complete the assessments.You will be learning the basic principles relating to developing your understanding of a range of mental health problems that affect children and young people.
What are the entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, but you should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
What will I be learning
This qualification aims to raise your awareness of mental health and a range of mental health problems. This mental health course allows you to gain an understanding of prevalent mental health problems and how to work with or interact with individuals with them.
You will develop the skills needed to understand mental health conditions along with the legislation and guidance surrounding mental health, risk factors that may affect mental well-being and the impact that mental health concerns may have on young people and others.
This is a nationally recognised, level 2 qualification that provides the knowledge and skills required by employers to work in a range of different environments.
How will I be assessed and supported
During the course you will access online materials to support your learning and will work through online assessments as you progress. You will be supported by your tutor.
What do I need to bring?
This is an online course you will need access to a computer, laptop and the internet to be able to complete the course.
This qualification is run on a platform via the internet
using the online EQUAL learning
platform.
