Who is this course for
This course is perfect for beginners or those already working in the care sector, who want to develop their knowledge and understanding of the care and management of diabetes, prevention and early intervention type 2 diabetes; the initial care of diabetes and the treatment and management of diabetes.It is a flexible course, where you can study anywhere, anytime.
As this is course leads to a level 2 qualification, it requires your commitment of a few hours per week learning and completing the assessment questions. Depending on the amount of units/assessment questions, it should take on average 3 to 4 months to complete. However, it may take less time, depending on how quickly you complete the assessments.
What are the entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however you should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.What will I be learning
You will be developing a knowledge and understanding of the care and management of diabetes.There are four mandatory units to complete
Understand diabetes.
Prevention and early intervention of Type 2 diabetes.
Understand the initial care of diabetes.
Understand the treatment and management of diabetes.

During the course you will access online materials to support your learning and will work through online assessments as you progress. You will be supported by your tutor.What do I need to bring?
