Who is this course for

If you have a learning difficulty or disability and already have some cooking and catering skills, we can support you to gain a nationally recognised qualification to work or volunteer in this area.

What are the entry requirements

You must have some previous knowledge or experience of catering.

What will I be learning

You will learn how to,
maintain food safety and hygiene, record keeping,
provide good customer service,
work effectively in a team,
independently prepare, cook, and serve food.

How will I be assessed and supported

On this course, both your practical catering skills and knowledge will be formally assessed. You will be observed carrying out tasks and will keep a folder of work to evidence your learning. To achieve this qualification, you will also be required to complete tests to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding.
You will receive feedback and support from your tutor to help you to develop your skills and knowledge using an Individual Learning Plan and activities.

What do I need to bring?

You will need a folder and a pen.

This course is accredited through awarding body, City and Guilds, so there will be a registration fee.
