Who is this course for

If you want to improve your digital skills to help you get a job this course is ideal.  You will be able to create a CV in Word and learn how to use AI to improve your job skills online.

What are the entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements.

The course is open to everyone with basic digital skills who want to explore the modern tools and techniques.
 
You should be at least Entry 3
in ESOL or English

What will I be learning

You will learn to.

Enter and edit text in Microsoft Word and format a CV using headings, fonts, bullet points, and spacing.

Add contact details, skills, qualifications, and work experience.

Save, print, and export documents.

Create a simple cover letter and tailor applications to different job roles.

Check spelling and grammar using digital tools.

Learn what AI is and how it can support job searching.

Use AI tools to improve CVs and cover letters.

Generate ideas for personal statements and skills descriptions.

Understand the limitations of AI and how to fact-check information.

How will I be assessed and supported

There is no formal assessment. You will receive continuous support from the tutor and demonstrate your progress through guided tasks.

Notepad and pen.
