This is an online course taught via Zoom
What will I be learning?
Italy is composed of 20 regions. Each has a rich and diverse heritage: historically, geographically and culturally. On our virtual tour of the following regions we'll discover the varied landscape, ancient towns and villages, the history, culture, and wine making practices associated with these Italian wine regions.
During each session we will include topics such as local food and wine, with an optional tasting of a wine and regional food (cheeses, prosciutto, olives, etc.) to be agreed prior to each session.
Sessions
There are 10 sessions to this course. Each session lasts for 1.5 hours.
The following regions will be covered:
- Umbria
- Lazio
- Abruzzo
- Molise
- Campania
- Puglia
- Basilicata
- Calabria
- Sicily & Sardinia
How will I know how I am progressing during the course?
A short multiple-choice question paper at the end of each session and different exercises during the session

No
Who is the course for?
Those with interest in Italy. No previous knowledge in the topics or language required.
What do I need?
A folder, pen and paper. Your tutor will provide you with any necessary handouts via email.
To connect to your online course via Zoom, you will need:
- An electronic device of your choice connected to the Internet
- An email address
- Headphones or speakers and microphone (these can be built into your device)
