This is an online course taught via ZOOM

What will I be learning?

Online via Zoom, we will be looking at and creating origami decorations and gifts.

We can recycle old wrapping paper left over from Christmas or use any paper you may have in the house. If you have coloured paper, you will get a more striking design.

No, this course does not lead to a qualification.

Who is the course for?

This course is for a beginner, or with a little experience. The tutor will guide you through step by step.

What do I need to bring?

You will require a few items for this course, these would include:

  • Equipment where you can access Zoom (a reliable internet connection, email address and a device such as a laptop or tablet).
  • Paper (ie, old wrapping paper, origami paper, plan or coloured paper)
  • A glue stick
  • A ruler
  • Pencil or pen
  • Scissors

How will I know how I am progressing during the course?

At DALS, we use an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) to set and review targets and provide feedback, enabling continual reflection and evaluation throughout the course. Learners will also receive verbal and/or written feedback on marked work. Learners will use their ILP to help track and monitor their own progress towards set goals, to support personal development and achievement.

There is no formal exam, although there is continual evaluation throughout the course.
