This is an online course taught via Zoom
Guided Learning Hours
Six online sessions, via the Internet using Zoom, on Wednesdays between 1pm and 3pm with Elly Swanson.
What will I be learning?
Ways to to improve and maintain health and well being, both physically and mentally, through:
- Gentle exercise
- Relaxation techniques
- Breathwork
Does the course lead to a qualification?
No
Who is the course for?
The class will be suitable for anyone who wishes to learn about and participate in a gentle exercise and relaxation programme. The exercises are slow and gentle and may be undertaken standing or sitting.
Note: The class is open to any suitable person provided they are medically fit. If in any doubt please consult a medical practioner and show them this information
What do I need for the online sessions?
- A reliable internet connection
- An electronic device (i.e. Laptop, PC, Tablet) where you can clearly see the tutor
To connect to your online course via Zoom, you will need:
- An electronic device of your choice connected to the Internet
- An email address.

How will I know how I am progressing during the course?
- Your tutor will give you verbal feedback
- At the end of each session you will use an online forum to reflect on your learning and progress in the session. You tutor will give you written feedback via this too.
Can I have help in the class?
At enrolment, it is important that you tell us if you have a learning difficulty or disability and require support. Learners declaring a support need will be referred for an assessment. If an enhanced support need is confirmed, a Support Package will be offered, to assist your progress in your learning and development, specific to your assessed needs.
How is this course supported by DerbyLearn?
DerbyLearn is a web site with pages that support and complement this class. There will be links to related information and resources and discussion forums. It is available on the Internet outside of class. You tutor will explain how to log in and use it.
