Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
On smaller screens, when the cookie banner is visible, it can hide the focus of some of the links in the footer when the site is navigated using a keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.11 (Focus Not Obscured (Minimum)).
We plan to update our cookie banner by August 2024.
The content is not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 may not be fully accessible, unless users need them to use a service.
Any new documents (including new versions) uploaded to the website will be reviewed to ensure accessibility by design.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 8 April 2024.
Testing and audits are carried out internally by Derby City Council’s Digital and Web team, using a combination of manual testing and semi-automated testing software, including:
- Siteimprove
- WAVE
- axe
To decide upon samples of pages to test for accessibility, we chose pages to represent each main section of a website, and each of the main content templates.
The statement was last reviewed on 8 April 2024.
