How do I enrol on a course?
On the website - some courses have an online enrolment button which you can use to enrol.
By telephone – you can call our enquiries team on 01332 956565.
By email – send us an email with the course you are interested in and a contact phone number to DALSenquires@derby.gov.uk.
At a centre – attend one of our 4 learning centres where our team will enrol you.
I missed the start of the course, can I still join?
If you miss the start date of the course and we have spaces free, you may still be able to join.
You can either enrol on our website or call our team on 01332 956565.
I have a holiday planned and will miss some of sessions, is that ok?
We do not recommend taking holidays on weeks where you have classes as you can miss important work. This can impact on your learning progress.
We will not be able to refund you for any classes you miss. If you are thinking about booking a holiday in term time, please talk to your tutor.
How do I know which course and level will suit me?
Ask to speak to one of our staff who will discuss which courses might best suit you.

Do you offer any discount if I am unemployed?
There are lots of courses that are free if you are unemployed and looking for work or have a lower income.

Can I pay on a weekly basis or must I pay all in one go?
Course fees are paid before you start your course but if a course is over £200, you can pay in instalments. Please talk to one of our staff who can help you set this up. Telephone 01332 956565.
Can I have a refund or transfer if I don’t want to attend my course anymore?
Refunds will only be given in specified circumstances.
